Jinko Solar said it had supplied solar panels with a total capacity of 950 MW for projects developed in Spain and Mexico by Spanish developer X-Elio Energy.
The Chinese company's Cheetah 72 cells solar modules will be used for 12 photovoltaic (PV) projects with a total capacity of 575 MW in Spain. These include projects in Ciudad Real, Badajoz, Albacete, Murcia, Almería, Sevilla, Cartagena, Valencia and Segovia.
In addition, X-Elio will install the remaining 375 MW in solar panels at the 118-MW project in Veracruz and the 257-MW project in Navojoa, Mexico.
Jinko Solar's CEO Kangping Chen said that the contract helped the company to significantly increase its share of the PV markets in Spain and Mexico this year.
X-Elio has constructed solar plants with a total capacity exceeding 1.6 GW, with 41 solar farms currently in operation.
