Goals

The Taipei 5G Summit addresses the ever-evolving world of the Internet of Everything and how its transformation always engages bigger better more. Connectivity brings the world together, and Taiwan works with our worldwide partners from all corners of the globe to strengthen our collaborative ventures.

The strategic design is to integrate DoIT’s 5G related programs and resources to make this Summit Asia’s premier annual event as it also offers the opportunity to connect with Taiwan’s robust industries and ecosystem. Active synchronization with international standard organizations to share the latest 5G global development creates innovative exchanges.

Cooperative endeavors between TAICS and 5G standard bodies and promotion association, such as ITU-R, 5G PPP, 5GMF, bring forth effectiveness through dynamic engagement. Pooling resources and combining forces with other commissions like the E.U. generate even greater pursuits on all sides. Harmonization can initiate untold opportunities.

Enhancing partnerships between Taiwan’s ICT manufacturers and international telecom operators, as in KDDI, CMCC, NTT DoCoMo, enables meeting 5G challenges as a team. This is especially critical in various developmental stages when technical demands need immediate solutions. Congruence can deliver answers, and in working with Taiwan’s supply chain, coordinated efforts produce results.

Established technical ties with dominant global players, Intel, HP, R&S, promotes Taiwan’s technical expertise as our R&D prowess is globally recognized. All these factors in convergence of cooperative efforts, valued partnerships, creativity and innovation contribute to Taiwan playing a major role in the technology of today and tomorrow.
