Healthcare+Expo Press Conference: Cross-Industry Collaboration between TEEMA and IBMI

Under the invitation from Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI), Mr. Jerry Hsu, Vice Chairman of TEEMA was invited to participate in the "Healthcare+ Expo Press Conference" held by the Legislative Yuan on April 26th, 2022 to share "Example of TEEMA combining ICT and the Medical Industry", the attendees included Yu Shyi-kun, President of the Legislative Yuan; Chi-Huey Wong, President of IBMI, Pan-Chyr Yang, Vice President of IBMI; Wu Mingshiang, Superintendent of National Taiwan University Hospital; Tai-Yuan Chiu, President of Taiwan Medical Association etc.
Mr. Jerry Hsu, Vice Chairman of TEEMA said at Healthcare+ Expo Press Conference that Richard Lee, Chairman of TEEMA has paid special attention to cross-industry integration, TEEMA co-organized several forums to discuss the integration and application of ICT and medical care, during the forum and seminar, TEEMA invited experts from multiple research units to analyze AIOT trends in-depth, jointly explore the strategic blueprint for enterprise transformation and innovation. TEEMA cooperated with Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry since 2020, TEEMA actively invites and calls on ICT member manufacturers to participate in the " Healthcare+ Expo " hosted by IBMI every year.
Yu Shyi-kun, President of the Legislative Yuan said that Healthcare+ Expo has been promoted for only 6 years. It is not only one of the six largest international trade fairs in Taiwan ever since its debut in 2017 but also an important platform for the public and private sectors to jointly promote the "big health industry”. Even though the COVID-19 was severe last year, 2021 Healthcare+ Expo attracted more than 600 exhibitors, 1850 booths, 180,000 visitors, it is the only exhibition in Asia-Pacific with a growth rate of more than 15% under the COVID-19 pandemic.
TEEMA has begun to encourage member manufacturers to strengthen cooperation with the medical system in recent years. Many internationally renowned companies such as Foxconn, Quanta, Pegatron, Inventec and Compal have actively invested in the field of smart medical care, The applications of cross-industry integration has become trend. In the future, TEEMA hopes to continue to cooperate with Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry, bringing IT/ICT, semiconductor and electronics together with the bio-medical industry to accelerate digital transformation in healthcare, promotes crossindustry integration and creates new business opportunities for both member manufacturers. In addition, TEEMA also plans to combine the resources of IBMI to jointly explore overseas markets.
