U.S Taiwan TTIC Cooperation on Investment and Trade Related to Renewable Energy and Battery Storage
The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) held the " U.S. Taiwan TTIC Cooperation on Investment and Trade Related to Renewable Energy and Battery Storage" at Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Downtown on March 31th, 2022, and TEEMA proudly co-organized this seminar. Experts from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, GE Gas Power, Fluence shared the business opportunities of renewable energy in the United States. Dignitaries and honorable guests attending in this seminar include Richard Lee, Chairman of TEEMA; Brent Omdahl, Commercial Section Chief of the American Institute in Taiwan; Cynthia Kiang, Director General, of Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Andrew Moyseowcz, Senior International Trade Specialist from the U.S. Department of Commerce, shared "Clean Energy Investment and the U.S Infrastructure Investment and Job Act "; Hilary Fagan, President & COO of the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation shared “Rhode Island State Government Incentives”; James Jim, Associate Project Procurement Manager of GE Gas Power gave a company briefing and also put forward the procurement requirements of SwitchGear, Power/I&C Cable, Transformer, Control Valves, Fabrication, Piperack & HRSG Auxiliary Module products; Sally Sung, Category Manager of Fluence shared the introduction of the energy storage supply chain. In addition, Peter Su, Managing Director of PWC Taiwan shared “Important Tax Matters you Need to Know before Making Investment into the US.” Brent Omdahl, Commercial Section Chief of the American Institute in Taiwan said that AIT Commercial Section is organizing a renewable energy and battery storage supply chain delegation as part of the Taiwan delegation for the Select USA Investment Summit 2022, the delegation aims to help potential investors better understand the U.S. market for renewable energy and battery storage, Taiwanese companies are encouraged to attend.

EV Supply Chain Investment Seminar
The American Institute in Taiwan(AIT ) held the " EV Supply Chain Investment Seminar" at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on March 10th, 2022. TEEMA was also the co-organizer of this event. Leading experts were invited to introduce and share their thoughts regarding the investment environment and business opportunities in the electric vehicle supply chain in the states of Michigan, Ohio, and Texas. During the seminar, experts provide a comprehensive analysis of Taiwanese investment in the United States. Honorable guests in this meeting include Winner Yu, Managing Director of Board(TEEMA); Brent Omdahl, Commercial Section Chief of the American Institute in Taiwan; Cynthia Kiang, Director General, of Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs.

AIT invited speakers such as Samm Gillard, Technical Project Manager for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) to share some light on the ecology of the U.S. electric vehicle industry, supply chain settlements, an overview of electric vehicle batteries in the U.S; Jack Cheng, CEO of MIH consortium delineated the business opportunities of Taiwan’s electric vehicle industry in the U.S.; Marcos Delgado, Executive Vice President of the Borderplex Alliance, Jonathan Bridges, Managing Director of JobsOhio, and Brian Connors, Partner of Due East Advisor shared their thoughts regarding business opportunities in the US electric vehicle supply chain; Fang-Yi Jen, Partner of Baker Mckenzie explained EV investment regulation in the United States.

Brent Omdahl, Commercial Section Chief of the American Institute in Taiwan said that AIT Commercial Section is organizing an EV supply chain delegation as part of the Taiwan delegation for the Select USA Investment Summit 2022, the delegation aims to help potential investors better understand the U.S. landscape in the EV supply chain.
